PERLUBIE BEACH | South Australia

What a stunning spot to set up camp for a few days!  So good that it has claimed the title of “our favourite campsite”.

Perlubie Beach is only 15 minutes north of Streaky Bay and as the beach has a hard base it allows you to camp right on the sand, it does get a little softer as you continue up the beach.

WHERE IS IT?

20kms north of Streaky Bay, Eyre Peninsula SA

CAMPGROUND INFORMATION

There are toilets in the car park as you drive in but other than that you need to be self sufficient.

We launched the tinny off the beach each day and at low tide you can wander around the northern end of the beach and explore the rocks and caves.

We absolutely loved our time here! If beach camping is your thing, put it on the list to visit, you won’t be disappointed!!

The beach was covered in these imprints in the morning after the stingrays had come in to feed with the rising tide!

Is this 2WD access or just 4wd?
I am planning a trip to the Eyre Peninsula next month and I’d love to find some fantastic places to beach camp along the way but I am not bringing a 4wd.

I’d hate to say yes and then you get stuck! I suggest you park at the top and have a walk down to see what you think/how hard it is… I can only remember seeing 4WDs on the beach when we were there.
