We are back with another Episode! This time with a day trip to the Watagans!!

This area has so much to discover and you can easily spend a day exploring the waterfalls, lookouts and walks. The lookouts are a great spot to pull up and have a picnic lunch with views as far as the eye can see!

This is Episode One of our new series WEEKEND ESCAPES!

We love nothing more than getting away on the weekends to camp and explore and thought we'd start taking you along for the adventure!

This weekend we are heading north to explore the Coopernook area. We stay at a beautiful FREE camp, hike through lush green rainforests to waterfalls and caves and check out some lookouts with views all the way to the ocean!

Mamanga Campground is in Yanga National Park, around 5 minutes south of Balranald in NSW.

This is a beautiful low cost camp on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River.

On our way out of Mamanga Campground we stopped off at YANGA WOOLSHED for a wander.

The Woolshed was built in the late 1800s and was once the largest woolshed in the district and today, it is open for visitors to wander through and discover the history of the shearing days in the area.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA | ROAD TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

Brewarrina is in Outback NSW between the towns of Walgett and Bourke.

And we found this beautiful free camp on the Barwon River.

Four Mile Reserve has plenty of space, shade and there are toilets and showers at the boat ramp if you need them.

Make sure you don’t just pull up in the asphalt carpark, turn along the dirt road and there’s plenty of space along the river.

WE HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS!!

Over the last few months we’ve made a BIG decision and we are so excited to share our news!!!

➡️ In January we are heading off in the van for 12 months to explore this amazing country of ours 🇦🇺

It’s hard to put into words how happy and excited we all are to be doing this! Travelling around Australia with the kids has always been a dream of ours and now we have finally taken the leap to turn it into a reality!

We have no plans other than catching the boat to Tassie in early January. We are keen to spend a large chunk of time in WA & NT but we’ll take each day as it comes and who knows where we will end up!

We will be documenting our travels as we go and look forward to sharing some amazing content with you!
