EXPLORING HAT HEAD | MID NORTH COAST NSW

An extended weekend away had us back in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales. This time to explore the gorgeous coastal town of Hat Head. WHERE IS IT? This sleepy little town is just over three hours north of Newcastle and is a beautiful area to spend some time if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the larger coastal towns. Animals on Bikes | Tourist Trail NSW

The ANIMALS ON BIKES tourist trail is a 120km self drive that showcases some very creative sculptures in the paddocks along the way. Animals on Bikes has grown from 45 sculptures in 2009 to 111 on display now!! The sculptures have all been created by the locals that live in the area. There isn’t really space to stop roadside so it’s more of a drive by and see them, except for the towns where you can easily pull up. ABERCROMBIE CAVES | Abercrombie River NSW

ABERCROMBIE CAVES is located within Abercrombie Karst Conservation Reserve and is an impressive limestone cave system. The entrance archway is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. In the 1850s the Archway became a meeting place for gold miners due to the shelter it provided. Silo Art | Portland NSW

The Silos in Portland are officially named "The Foundations". Painted in 2018 by Artist, Guido Van Helten, the portraits are of men and woman that worked at the old cement works and are still living in Portland today. WHERE IS IT?
