Just south of Renmark in South Australia you will find Murray River National Park. There are a few sections to this camping area and we stayed in Lyrup Flat. This link provides details and maps of the camping areas.

Lyrup Flats section of the National Park has 30 campsites to choose from. Some suitable for all size rigs, some only suitable for smaller campers or tents. The campsites are all on the river and are mostly fifty metres or so in so you can’t see them from the road which means you really have to drive into them to see if they are suitable. This is a little tricky towing a van, particularly if it is only a tent site as there isn’t much room to turn around – we suggest you walk into a few if you haven’t been there before!
Anyway, in saying all that, we found a nice site with a beautiful outlook over the Murray and settled in for a peaceful night.
There are a couple of pit toilets scattered around but probably easier if you have your own facilities.
