Newcastle Memorial Walk

Newcastle Memorial Walk is located on Strzelecki Headland and spans 450 metres along the cliff top towards Bar Beach. The structure cost $4.5 million to build and over 64 tonnes of steel was used in its construction. The Memorial Walk was built to commemorate the centenary of ANZAC and the commencement of BHP’s steel making in Newcastle. Tomaree Head Summit Walk

Mt Tomaree is located in Shoal Bay, Port Stephens, NSW.   Tomaree Head Summit Walk is a must!!  This walk is 2.2km return trip and took us around 25 minutes to get to the top to see the spectacular views of the Port Stephens area.  We did the walk early on a beautiful winter morning in May and then had breakfast at a cafe on the way home!
