HILL END Road Trip

The October Long Weekend had us on a road trip to the old gold mining town of Hill End in the Bathurst Region of New South Wales.  A couple of years ago we had attempted a trip to Hill End but due to our daughter getting terribly car sick we didn't quite make it and ended up at Turon Gates instead.  So this time we were determined to get there via a different route! MILPARINKA – OUTBACK NSW

Milparinka is around 250km north of Broken Hill and 40kms south of Tibooburra on the Silver City Highway. Although the gold mining days are well in the past the town's small community has restored some of the old buildings to preserve the town's history. The Milparinka Hotel still operates and you can stop in for a meal, a chat and a beer or two! WHITE CLIFFS – OUTBACK NSW

WHITE CLIFFS… an intriguing little outback town! You will find White Cliffs around 70km north of Wilcannia and 270km northeast of Broken Hill in Outback NSW.
