Boomi River Picnic Area – Mungindi, NSW

Boomi River Picnic Area is a large free camp beside the river, just south of Mungindi.

There is a flat area beside the road, however, if you follow the dirt road down to the river there is a huge area around 300 metres off the road that is perfect for camping!

WHERE IS IT?

10kms south of Mungindi, just below the NSW/QLD border.

CAMPGROUND INFORMATION

  • No facilities (there is a portaloo but we didn’t use it so can’t comment on this…)
  • Large camping area, suitable for all size rigs.
  • Picnic tables.
  • Garbage bins.
  • Fires allowed.
  • No power.
  • No water.

TIP …if you don’t use WikiCamps, you need to download it!  It makes finding spots like this very easy!!
