Big 4 Saltwater Holiday Park, YAMBA

Our stay at Big 4 Saltwater Yamba was slightly different to what we originally booked but still fine despite the changes.  We had initially booked on one of their unpowered riverside campsites. Upon arrival we were advised that due to the torrential rain they had over the few weeks leading up to our stay, we could no longer set up down by the river as it was very wet!  Several other campers were in the same position as us and the park had designated an area that was not usually a campsite for us to stay on.

Big 4 Saltwater is a short 10kms from the township of Yamba and situated on the banks of the Clarence River.

The park has many accommodation options available from two and three bedroom cabins to powered and unpowered camping sites.

The facilities definitely cater for the kids with many activities on offer.

  • Salty’s Water Cove – fantastic for the kids (and adults too)!!!
  • Swimming pool
  • Jumping pillow
  • Pedal carts
  • Flying fox
  • Playground equipment
  • Sand pit
  • Outdoor cinema
  • Bocce
  • Kids Club
  • Kayaks

There is a boat ramp located down from the unpowered campsites.

Something that stood out to us was they allow campfires on all sites around the park!  If you don’t have your own fire pit, they have drums available and you can purchase firewood from reception.

For all those lovers of coffee, they have an espresso machine in reception and will brew your coffee whenever you need it!
