What an amazing place to visit – a must do!

The history is so fascinating and you get a real feel for what life was like for the convicts.

For $95 (family of 4) we had a full day of exploring – it is actually a two day consecutive pass.

A 25 minute harbour cruise, 40 minute guided walking tour and access to over 30 historic buildings was included in the price.  We thought this was great value and really needed the full day!

You can do separate tours out to the two islands – The Isle of the Dead Cemetery and Point Puer Boys’ Prison.

Our kids (5 & 9) really enjoyed it and were engaged and asked LOTS of questions throughout the whole day!

Highly recommend a visit to Port Arthur!

The Tessellated Pavement is a fascinating natural rock formation best viewed at low tide.

You can read all about how the pavement is formed on the way down at one of the many viewing points.

Is just that – REMARKABLE!  We hopped over the side, with the many others, to explore the cave and wandered through to the beach!  ***Only do this at low tide and when the sea is calm!!

The pictures don’t do this any justice!  It’s huge in person and a long way down!

Another incredible and natural sight for the eyes!

When we visited the Tasman Peninsula we stayed at Sunset Beach Holiday Park.  Great place, right on the water and a great host.  Check out our review here!
